Izandla ZeAfrika was birthed in the rural community of Mseleni, KwaZulu-Natal in 2015 as a practical way to advance the kingdom of God and to be His hands and feet. After having worked and lived at Mseleni hospital for nearly five years and hearing the plight for support and assistance by so many Christian friends in their local community as well as mission fields abroad, Christoff and Tarryn Bell answered the call of Christ to start a faith-based non-profit company in order to reach out as the Holy Spirit leads.

The company started out of the Bells' home in Mseleni. After 3 years the head office relocated to the rural mountain community of Ingwavuma together with the Bells. The office, volunteer accommodation and baby home are now situated in separate buildings close to Mosvold Hospital. The team has grown to include 6 caregivers, a fulltime volunteer occupational therapist, a cleaner, gardener, as well as a volunteer social worker, doctor and various helping hands.
